  I went to Banana Leaf today with a group of 20-25 colleagues and ordered the chicken curry. I felt that the chicken was uncooked but wasn't sure. After eating a couple of bits of chicken, i was convinced that i was right. When i told the waiter, he got his manager to talk to me. The first thing the manager told me was that everyone else was eating the same batch of food and he hadn't heard a single complaint from them. I was taken aback that he wasn't willing to even hear me out. I asked him to take my food away as i was not going to be able to eat it. Since it was a group lunch i did not want to create a scene and spoil it for my colleagues. I was expecting the manager to come back and offer some kind of an apology. No apologies and no change in the bill. He walked away and never came back.
  After paying the bill, i went and asked him about what he was going to do about the fact that my meal was ruined. He replied that i had eaten 90% of my dish so he didn't think he had to do anything. Firstly, the 90% was a big lie. Most of the chicken was untouched. His attitude was despite the fact that we were a large group and had a bill in the vicinity of $400. Can you imagine that? If i had gone alone for a meal, they might have walked me out.
  
  I will never again go to Banana Leaf because of this sour experience. It has been our choice in the past for group lunches but that is going to end today. Sayonara.

  This place never disappoints. The Malaka is the perfect blend of sour, sweet, and spicy. Yvette was cordial despite my mother's ramblings, even after they closed for lunch. Give her a raise!
